Exploring “Midjourney Gratis”: What You Need to Know About Free Access
If you have been searching online for “midjourney gratis” (the Spanish, Portuguese, and German term for “free Midjourney”), you are likely looking for a way to use one of the world’s most powerful text-to-image generators without opening your wallet.
Because artificial intelligence art tools have exploded in popularity, finding accurate and up-to-date information can be tricky. Here is a breakdown of what the current landscape looks like, how the official options work, and what alternatives exist if you want to experiment with AI art for free.
The Reality of Midjourney’s Pricing
On its main website and through Discord, Midjourney operates exclusively on a paid subscription model.
- The Free Trial Status: Midjourney famously offered a popular free trial when it first launched, but due to massive demand and overwhelming system traffic, that trial was paused.
- Official Stance: According to Midjourney’s official guidelines, standard free trials on the web platform and Discord are generally unavailable. To use the core web generator or Discord bot directly, a monthly or annual plan is typically required.
Official Ways to Access Midjourney Features for Free
Even though the main desktop trial is closed, official avenues still offer limited free access to Midjourney’s underlying technology:
- The Niji·Journey App: Midjourney officially supports Niji·Journey, an app optimized for anime and illustrated styles available on iOS and Android. The Niji·Journey mobile app offers a limited trial pool of free generations for new users. Keep in mind that this trial is restricted to the mobile application and does not automatically transfer to the full desktop version of Midjourney.
- Meta AI Partnership: Midjourney technology has integrated into Meta AI across various social platforms in certain regions. Users can access image generation capabilities powered by Midjourney’s aesthetic engine through Meta’s chat platforms without needing a direct Midjourney subscription.
Exploring Other Completely Free AI Image Generators
If you cannot access an official trial and prefer not to pay a subscription fee, several high-quality, completely free alternatives use powerful open-source or proprietary models:
- FLUX.1: Known for rendering hyper-realistic textures and legible text within images, FLUX models can be tested for free on various web interfaces.
- Bing Image Creator (Microsoft Designer): Powered by DALL-E 3, this tool gives users a set of free daily boosts to generate detailed, creative art straight from a Microsoft account.
- Stable Diffusion: Open-source platforms allow users to run or access image generation models completely free of charge, giving you total control over your creations.
Tips for Aspiring AI Artists
If you decide to dive into AI image generation—whether through a trial app or a free alternative—keeping a few core strategies in mind will help you get better results:
- Be Descriptive: Instead of typing a single word like “dragon,” try describing the lighting, atmosphere, and art style (
